Kayla Horacek
Kayla Horacek is an Associate Attorney at the Pasadena Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, where she practices divorce and family law with a focus on child custody and other matters involving children. Ms. Horacek is credentialed as a Minor's Counsel by the State of California, allowing for her appointment by the court to represent a child in a family law matter such as a case alleging child abuse or neglect, domestic violence, or a high-conflict divorce or child custody battle. Ms. Horacek is also experienced as a Behavioral Technician, having worked at a private school for children with autism in Sacramento, California.
Ms. Horacek earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Santa Clara University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She later earned her Juris Doctorate law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, where she received the CALI award for excellence in Torts. While in law school, Ms. Horacek participated in Moot Court, receiving first place for "Best Brief" and second place for "Best Oralist" in the Moot Court Honors Program, and competing in the National Moot Court Competition as a member of the school's Moot Court team. Ms. Horacek is admitted to practice throughout the State of California and is a member of the California State Bar and the Pasadena Bar Association.
