We are pleased to introduce you to some of the professionals you may encounter when visiting our offices.
Maria Schweitzer, Firm Administrator
Maria assisted in the opening of the offices in 2003 and has continued to oversee the business administration of the firm ever since, ensuring its proper management and functioning as we continue to grow and provide services in the San Gabriel Valley and beyond. Maria graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and spent eight years in the insurance industry and another eight years in the medical device industry before joining the team at the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer. In addition to her work as Office Administrator, Maria is an active member of the Women's City Club of Pasadena and serves on the boards of the Blinn House Foundation and Maranatha High School Parent Association. Maria also serves by appointment as an Ambassador of the Pasadena Bar Association.
Cathy P. Bustamante, Senior Paralegal
Cathy has been with the firm since its beginnings in 2003 and has helped to create the strong legal team that the firm's clients have come to know and expect. Cathy attended Biola University in La Mirada and received her paralegal certification from Cerritos College in Norwalk. Prior to beginning her career in law, Cathy worked as a customer representative at Washington Mutual Bank and Cal Fed Bank. Cathy is fluent in Spanish and often functions as a translator at our offices, further helping us deliver the best possible legal services to our clients.
Andy Rossi, Certified Paralegal
Andy is a 2003 graduate of Illinois State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations with a Minor in Psychology. His professional background includes work as a television reporter at an ABC affiliate in Peoria, Illinois, a high school substitute teacher, and an office administrator for a Chicago electrical company. Andy has been with the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer since 2004.
Megan Magallanes, Accounts and Billing
Megan joined our administrative staff in 2006 and is currently the firm's receptionist, as well as an integral part of our marketing team. Having been raised in Pasadena, Megan retains active ties to the local community in every aspect of her life. She earned her Associates degree from Pasadena City College and has prior work experience in the billing and medical records department at the Huntington Hospital. Megan also volunteers in the Sunday school program at St. Rita's Church.
Jacky Guevara, Receptionist
While working as a receptionist at the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, Jacky continues to further her education. Jacky earned her Associates degree in Administration of Justice from East Los Angeles College and is working toward a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from California State University of Los Angeles. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Jacky worked for Ability First, a recreational program for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Jacky is fluent in Spanish and is the first face of the firm for many of our new clients.
